Tim is a retired Social security government work in Baltimore. He was transferred from the CIA, after a road accident lead to amnesia and the loss of a large number of years of memories. This includes all of his time serving in the CIA, and much of his memories of his late wife Pam. Pam was killed in the road traffic accident.
He has been well locked after with health care and pay but when he tried to find out about his past, he is met with obstruction and dead ends. Life in Baltimore is extremely mundane, until he starts to date the owner of his local bar Mary Ann, a biker chick. She is fiery and just what Tim needs.

A chance conversation with the regular at the bar, leads to Tim, seeking out Experimental Stem Cell therapy. He believes this may reverse his amnesia, and possibly stop the effect of Dementia, he believes are starting to appear.

After mysterious treatment, he finds that his health has improved in a number of ways. His memories start to return. Thing become much clearer. Strangely he start to encounter people who he doesn’t seem to know but are strangely familiar. He is being watched. Leading to a compulsive page turner of the story.

A gripping narrative, which races ahead. There are many other books set in the murky world of the CIA. This is different, in that Tim is not Jason Bourn, he is not a fictional augmented machine. Tim is very much real and could the bloke sat with you in the bar. He is an agent that you can get under the skin of. Set in the present time and the plot rings very true with current events. They are all actually quite possible and believable.

The Story moves forward and is certainly not predictable. It moves with pace and interest is held from beginning to end. There is scope here for a brand new franchise and I am really hoping that we see further story’s set in this world. In Summary a gripping and pounding page turner. Completely recommend.
