What a fantastic spin on a political romance! Anna Fitzpatrick is strong, intelligent and dedicated to making changes for the US as President. News anchor, Nevin Hazar, has a hidden history with Anna that comes tumbling out with consequences. What follows is a beautiful story of new beginnings with a few bumps along the way. I'd love to read more about their story! I'm definitely interested in learning more about some of the loose ends that remained.

This is like The West Wing with a romantic twist — totally adorable! I love reading political fiction books and this one might be one of my favorites yet. It’s positive, not partisan. It’s political without being *~*PoLiTiCaL*~* and that was such a breath of fresh air. The main characters were so likeable and I loved watching the first female president navigate her administration in an unconventional way and defying stereotypes along the way. 4/5 stars. Thank you to NetGalley for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

ARC received for review

I've been reading Ms. Me's books since her first one came out in 2012, and this one is nothing like those. There is almost no sexual interludes between Anna and Navin, but there is a beautiful romance. It wasn't all smooth sailing (how can it be when one person is the leader of the largest nation in the free world). The drama with the mole was very under developed and just kind of flopped. I was expecting more from it. Overall, it was a great book.

I received an ARC from NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for an honest review. This book was fabulous. This book Madame President is about life. It is about great chemistry between two people when they are young, to miscommunication leading to hurt feelings, It is about picking yourself up and moving forward. So what happens when one of the people becomes the first female President? We find out in the book but we also find out and I am thankful the author brings awareness to childhood cancer because I am reading this in September and participating in September is Childhood Cancer Awareness. Month. I had to chuckle when even when your mother isn't around you can still hear her tell you things and you have to stop the car and turn around and go do what she is saying. Yes, that is life. As I was reading this book I thought, this is nice, I see I fit right in with everyone here.

Fell in love with this book! With a woman president! Anna being an unstoppable force to be reckoned with... I loved how she was so confident but yet let her guard down for love.

I love politics so this book was a no brainier. Enjoyed watching Anna and Navin grow together and their past lives connecting to where they both are today. Navin wasn’t intimidated which I liked and appreciated

This premise was so fresh. Anna and Navin are characters that are well developed, interesting and mature. There weren't excuses for bad behavior they owned up to them and moved on. The story has some beautiful moments, wonderful dialogue and on point quotes (the one by William Douglas in particular was very powerful).

Hands down my favorite book that I have read by Tara Sue Me! I got lost in the pages and the story and read in one sitting!

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

This book is a total departure from Ms. Sue Me's earlier erotic fare. This is a beautiful story of two people who find love despite all odds. Anna Fritzpatrick is determined to focus on her job as the President of the United States giving up all thoughts of a personal relationship but then when an old acquaintance becomes a part of her press pool he poses an irresistible temptation.  Will she break a campaign promise for love?
Anna and Navin Hazar had once studied at Harvard together. They had been a part of the same study group and had enjoyed one night of unforgettable sex before Navin disappeared from her life. Now Anna has just won the presidency of the United States of America and Navin is the television anchorman of one of the leading news channels and media's golden boy.  Navin turns down Anna's invitation to escort her to the inaugural balls but finds himself escorting her all the same when her escort a recovering military hero finds himself unable to continue.
For his transgressions he's demoted from his prestigious position to the president's press pool. Despite all odds the two of them find they cannot ignore the other and find themselves connecting over unexpected work and persona opportunities. Their romance finds itself making its way through the white house from the oval office to private breakfast rooms to the president's bedroom. Someone however is spying on them and pictures of their shared secret moments are leaked. There's no help for it. Anna won't jeopardize the presidency and Navin won't go back to what he once did.
The story flows seamlessly and believably.  This book is touted as a stand alone so I'm not sure what the author has in mind from a future perspective for these two protagonists but I am a bit peeved that she never reveals who the spy is and what their motive is.

This is a really intriguing book about a female president and the impact holding this office could have on her love life. At 36, Anna is relatively young (certainly by today’s standards) to be elected president. She has vowed to be faithful to the office, and not get ‘distracted’ by getting involved romantically while in office. Then she crosses paths with her old flame Navin, and of course sparks fly. I liked how this book was written, that it didn’t get stuck focusing on the romance, but also dealt with issues facing a president—the compromises needed, playing to both parties to accomplish her goals, and the lack of sleep the office inherently encompasses. The relationship/romance was a real slow burn (at times too slow), and didn’t dominate the plot as a single focus, but let the office of the president and all it includes be a main part of the story. It felt incomplete, however, as the concept of a mole on Anna’s staff was introduced early on, played a significant role in the twists and turns of her relationship with Navin, but was never resolved or revealed. I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. This is my freely given, honest review.

***I received an ebook copy from the publisher at no cost***

This book is a departure from what I've come to expect from Tara Sue Me, and I absolutely loved it.

Anna gives me lots of Madam Secretary vibes. She's strong, confident, and motivated to succeed. She's won over the American people. Being the first female President of the US is a big task but she's up for it and she'll stop at nothing to be the best. And she isn't afraid to go toe-to-toe with those people who don't think she's fit for the position she's in.

Navin Hazar is a new anchor on one of the most popular networks in the US—and happens to have history with Anna, which isn't common knowledge over the course of her campaign. Of course once she's in office the news comes out, and Navin finds himself working as part of the White House press pool, but not by choice.

Second-chance romances are my jam and Tara Sue Me did a good job of getting me hooked on this story. It's a slow, but sweet and satisfying burn. Despite not having seen each other for many years, there's so much chemistry there between Anna and Navin. I loved that even though they knew one another, they had to rediscover each other.

This book was easy to read and moved quickly. There's some drama in the story, not just from the romance but from some things that happen within Anna's administration and team. I love political fiction stories, so I really enjoyed that component. And the characters are nicely developed and fun to read as well.

Five stars to this novel!

With this being an election year, I really wasn't that excited to read this book. I'm a little worn out from all the political drama. That being said, I'm so glad that I read this book! Addressing the issue of the first female President who is single, was very entertaining. Anna is a very interesting character that has a hurtful past with Navin, who happens to be a reporter. When he's assigned to the white house press pool they end up running into each other often. The hurt that Anna feels from her past dealings with Navin must be put aside. So what if she thinks he's the sexiest man she's seen. The banter and professionalism between these two are to be admired. Very clever dialogue that keeps you engrossed. My one and only complaint is that the person leaking information isn't revealed. I highly recommend this book!

I received an ARC for honest feedback.

When I saw who the author was, this was not the book I was expecting. There was a sweet love story between Anna, the first female president of the United States and Navin, her ex-lover from when they were in law school together who is now a reporter in New York who is reassigned to the press pool in Washington DC. Navin learns that there is a mole working on the inside of Anna's White House, but we never really learn who that mole is. It is nice to see, though, a strong independent female who can bring awareness to topics like Childhood Cancer, however she does face some typical stereotypes like "who would want to be the first gentleman?". A good book during this election season.

“It’s like I’m holding a stick of dynamite, and I know I’m going to get burned, but I don’t care because I want to keep it in my grasp just a little longer.”

Perfect timing for this release during a pandemic and presidential election. I would love to put this strong lady on the ballet. She is trying to do everything for the people while sacrificing her personal wishes. She puts on a brave face in front of others~yet feels so alone when she isn’t in front of an audience or her staff. No one REALLY knows Madame President...or do they?

“But never forget that she is dangerous and can cut you into shreds while being so charming, you won’t know you’re bleeding until she’s gone.”

This book has many elements...second chances, secrets, heartache, regret, mystery and pride to name a few.

“It’s…we’re complicated.”

“I’ve never liked it when people use that as an excuse. Of course it’s complicated. It concerns people, and people by their very nature complicate things. If it’s easy, one of you is either dead or doesn’t care. That’s when I’d get worried.”

TSM knows how to write a steamy scene and make you jealous of everyone involved.

I absolutely devoured Madame President by new to me author Tara Sue Me. This is a captivating political romance that I could not put down. It has a bit of steam and a lot of sexual tension. The main characters are likable, smart, and easy on the eyes.

Anna Fitzpatrick is the new President of the United States, being the first female to hold the prestigious office. She is a Harvard law school graduate, under 40, and single. As an independent, she is able to create change more readily than her predecessors. The country is flourishing and Anna has captured the world's attention.

During college, Anna spent an amazing evening with Navin Hazar, one of her study partners at the time. Now it is fifteen years later, and Navin is a well-known anchor for a major television network. He is a fair man with a heart of gold. Due to conflicting ideologies with management, he gets demoted to Anna's press pool. The passion they once shared so many years ago is alive and well, which makes both of their jobs somewhat difficult.

I truly enjoyed this book and the engrossing plot is both intriguing and sexy. The author writes with a lot of intensity, and as a result, I deeply felt Anna and Navin's connection. At times, reading this book felt like watching an episode of Scandal. This story temporarily took over my quarantined world and left me completed sated. If you are a political romance fan pick up a copy of Madame President, you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic Romance! A stand-alone, second chance, political, modern day romance that makes you smile, mad, tingle, laugh and swoon. The characters are wonderfully crafted. They both have pasts, they both have secrets and sadness, and they both have futures to fight for and save. From the get go, I was drawn into this story, I immediately knew that we had a lot to learn about these two and enjoyed getting to know them and connect with them both over the course of reading their story.

Anna Fitzpatrick is an Independent candidate for President of the United States who wins the election. She is sharp, shrewd, brilliant, kind and single. But she is also dangerous because she can cut you into shreds while being so charming you will not even know you are bleeding until she is gone.

Navin Hazar is a national co-host anchor and has a past with the new President, that he hasn’t told anyone about and that is about to get him in seriously hot water with his job. So when he suddenly shows up as part of the press pool, President Anna Fitzpatrick is suspicious of why he is there. But these two still have an overwhelming chemistry between them, even though they try to fight it. Is this fate? Will they be able to make a relationship work? You need to read this to get all the juicy details.

Couldn’t put this down until I was done.

Received an early copy for an honest review.

A lighter look at the POTUS. It was fun to see the relationship from both sides. Happy that they moved the story along rather than rehash what happened. A charming and delightful romance. I especially enjoyed the addition of the family members, particularly the mother.

Political romances are typically not really my thing, however, I LOVE Tara Sue Me’s books and with the gorgeous cover of this book I decided to give it a chance and I am SO glad I did.
Anna has just been elected as President. Navin is a new member of her Press Pool. Eighteen years ago they were in law school together, they had on magical night together and two days later Navin left without a word. After a long period without a word, they are now working closely together. The connection they had hasn’t left and sparks quickly start to fly between them.
The chemistry between Anna and Navin is great. There is tons of tension between them throughout and I loved the slow burn between them. I love Anna. She is strong, she is a 36 year old, single woman and now she is President. She wants to do a great job for the country she loves so much. Navin had dreams of being a judge, however, a family emergency changed his life course. I had mixed feelings about him at first, but as the story continued I did start to love him.
Madame President is a pretty quick read and definitely something to check out if you enjoy political romances. There was a slight issue with the timeline and it was definitely different from previous books I’ve read by Tara Sue Me, but still an enjoyable story.

Such a fun read, because though I am not American, it is a real novelty to read about a lady POTUS and her second-chance romance!

This is my first book by Tara Sue Me and I must say I enjoy her writing. I found out after getting to the last page that her normal niche is erotica. Thankfully there is more substance than that in this one and there is only one bedroom scene.

Politics was handled lightly for which I am glad because I do not enjoy politics!

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC. This is my honest review.

Another sexy novel from Tara Sue Me, Madam President is the escapist fun we all need right now. President vs. news reporter in the hottest possible outcomes. A steamy, fun read.

Loved it!! It’s the kind of political book you want to read right now. Such a page turner. I could not put it down.

This was so different than Tara Sue Me’s usual books. I loved how realistic this was. Anna’s the president and she has a past with Navin. Navin is a lead anchor for a major news outlet and he gets demoted for not telling his bosses he knew her. He has to be in her press pool, but that can only be an advantage, right? There’s a lot of tension, angst, and longing with these two. There’s literally zero sex scenes, not something I expected from Tara Sue Me, the queen of super sexy sex scenes.
Even without the sex, it’s still a really good story about love and doing what’s best for yourself and your relationship.
I received an arc from Netgalley for my honest review.

A woman President! If only that was possible, but in books we can only imagine and dream!
The author brings President-Elect Anna Fitzpatrick alive in the pages and she truly does seem as though everything she represents is what we need in a President!

As a single woman President , Anna realizes that having a relationship with an old friend such as Navin Hazar, a renowned news anchor may not be in the best interests of either person or the country. However, Love is sure hard to keep under control when you are going to be seeing each other on a daily basis!

The author gives us a tremendous insight into what a single woman would deal with as a woman President! I found the book a delightful read and would recommend to anyone.

I received an advanced copy from NetGalley and these are my willingly given thoughts and opinions.

I enjoyed reading Madame President by Tara Sue Me.

I did like that she left auf the bedroom scenes and concentrated on the banter of Anna and Navin. I was a bit disappointed that there was no follow up to the mole in the WH, because it was a big part of the story.

This is my second book by this author and won’t be my last.

Great story. I read this book in one sitting, it was too hard to put down my Kindle.

Anna Fitzgerald is the first President in the history of the USA to be a woman. She's an Independent, a single 36 year old woman trying to make the U.S. is heading in the right direction. After getting dumped when she announced her bid to run to her boyfriend years ago, she plans to run the country as a single woman. Before her inauguration, her advisors recommend that she attend all the inauguration balls with a man. The only man that comes to mind is someone from her past who's now the lead anchor on a major network TV news show. Showing up to see him after 15 years of radio silence is a big gamble, but after the way he left her, Anna knows that he won't refuse her. Not is she ever wrong. His "no" to her turns out to be one of the biggest mistakes he's ever made.

Navin Hazar is one of the nation's biggest news anchors. His life took a sharp turn during his second year at law school and he never looked back. When Anna Fitzpatrick runs for the white house, he never told anyone that he knew Anna on a personal level 15 years ago. His silence almost costs him his job. Now he's off live TV and is assigned to her presidential press pool. If that's not a slap in the face, it's seeing her daily and having her be indifferent to him.

Now they have to find a way to work together for the next 4 years without any feelings getting in the way. But can they?

A must read!!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

With all the political drama in the nation today, I was a bit hesitant about this book, but my concerns were completely unfounded. I LOVED THIS BOOK. The political aspects were well done and interesting. The characters and their banter were charming and enjoyable. I couldn't put the book down and was sad when I finished it, which is always the sign of a great book for me.

My only complaint was the mole storyline; I thought it was underdeveloped and hence, unnecessary. But overall, great job.

Anna and Navin had a history together years before she became the first female president of the US. Their relationship began when they were young and ended with a misunderstanding. Years later when she becomes the President their lives cross again. The chemistry is still there but they are both strong personalities. A slow-burn romance with lots of drama, turmoil, and media attention. A cute that was fun to read. I read an arc via Net Galley and voluntarily chose to write a review.

A sweet story!
I absolutely loved how they had history together. I have to say, this is the first president story I've read with the woman as president and I confess that it speaks to my inner feminist.

It got a little predictable at some point but a great story nonetheless.

An old flame with new sparks.
Navin Hazar had a good reason why he left law school years ago, breaking the heart of the only woman he never forgot, Anna Fitzpatrick. Now, she’s the POTUS and he’s the top reporter for New York’s GBNC. Determined to leave their one night together in the past, Navin’s superiors discover his ties to Anna and he’s forced to work the press pool of the White House.
Anna still holds a grudge as to why Navin left after their one night together years ago but knows she has no room for romance while serving as the POTUS. Yet, her desires for Navin are still alive, and crave for more.
I loved the professional banter between these two characters, showing us that even with maturity, we are still reckless when it comes to what the heart wants. For Anna, she wants Navin close, and maybe this is to control him. Navin tries to control his feelings for Anna, but this only finds him late at night searching for her in the White House. How long will they fight their desires for each other?
I have read most of Tara Sue Me’s novels and I’m never disappointed. This one was a bit different with a slow burn, carving out a treacherous path for the most impossible relationship.

*I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley.*

I really enjoyed this book and found that I couldn't put it down! The tension between Anna and Navin during the book was palpable. I enjoyed the characters and the interactions between our main two. I liked how even though Anna had more "power" than anyone, it didn't deter Navin from his persuit of her. It was also refreshing to see the weight given to being an individual in a relationship, and persuing your own dreams, as well as being part of a whole.

While I was unable to tear myself away from the story, I was a bit disappointed in the ending. It felt like the whole book had built up to an ending that was much too rushed. I like what happened, but it needed more time. As I approached the end, I actually expected there to be a cliffhanger for a second book. I was also a bit put off that the mystery going on during the novel just disappeared at the end. That was very anticlimactic.
