A great new series for anyone who loves unicorns. My daughter read this in one sitting and said it was magical and couldn’t wait to see what happens next.

Thank you to North Star Editions/Jolly Fish Press for sending me an ebook review copy through Netgalley of Heartsong’s Missing Foal written by Whitney Sanderson.

This book is so precious and I really enjoyed getting to read it. Two girls Iris and Ruby are the guardians of the unicorns a gift passed down through generations when one of their horses was about to have a foal they realise she didn’t come back when she should have so have to go find her.

I adored the two girls they were such sweet little girls, the story takes you to a magical realm and shows you a glimpse at the fairy forest and the girls have to be brave against something new and scary but they overcame it for their love of their unicorns.

This is a perfect book for young kids that love anything magical, love unicorns and like to go on adventures as this book features all of these elements. It’s a nice quick read but covers every area of the story you’d want from it; it’s an adorable story and worth reading.

This is an incredibly sweet story I'd be delighted to hand over to my youngest sisters, with gentle messages about the importance of responsibility and the value of friendship, alongside some really lovely magic. Even with the unfinished sketches included in the ARC, it's clear the illustrations are going to be stunning. Highly recommended for younger readers!

Two girls—Iris and Ruby—are the keepers of a secret land full of unicorns, magic, and even a fairy forest. Heartsong’s Missing Foal is the stuff of dreams—Iris and Ruby have a magical key that admits them to the unicorn world and nobody else knows about it—like a secret garden but…unicorns. Iris and Ruby work together to save a couple of unicorn foals, introducing readers to this wonderful fantasy world. This book is charming and well-written, and the illustrations are a perfect complement to the story. Young, elementary-aged children will love reading this book, and even younger children will enjoy having it read to them.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.
