Advance Praise

"Find the Seeker! is fresh as spring grass and refreshing as a clear stream. The teachings in this book refuse to be confined to a spiritual checklist or manual of meditative techniques. Instead, the authors again and again challenge readers to return to the vibrant truth of original nature. Going beyond optimistic self-help and nihilistic despair, Genro Xuan Lou, Laoshi and Clifford Stevens remind us of how wonderful it is to let go of grasping and taste the vividness of direct experience." --Robert Meikyo Rosenbaum, neuropsychologist and psychotherapist, Zen and Qi Gong teacher, author of Walking the Way: 81 Zen Encounters with the Tao Te Ching, and Zen and the Heart of Psychotherapy.

"Here is an enthusiastic account of the Zen way that is full of the excitement of discovery after discovery. Genro has an imaginative feel for how Zen can rhyme with Western tradition. The book is designed for you to take the ride and change your heart, rather than add to your learning in the normal way.It should be issued with seat belts. Genro's insight is disarming and fun and worth experiencing." --John Tarrant, Zen teacher, founder and director of the Pacific Zen Institute, author of The Light Inside the Dark and Bring Me the Rhinoceros.

"Let go of your ideas and read this wonderful book without expectations of what the path is really about. Genro will accompany you as a true friend." --Taiwa Kakunen,Zen monk at the Kakunen-Ji Temple at Wachendorf Castle, Germany and Member of the Zen Group in Villingen-Schwennigen, Germany (the entire text is in the foreword to the book).

"Like the work I have done over many decades, this book helps people to find the true Self, be One with their Divine Nature, and be free to Be. It compassionately shows people how to turn within to uncover their own Shangri-La. It is a unique, extraordinary and extremely valuable work which I highly recommend to all spiritual seekers and those who want to find what is Eternal." --Ihaleakala Hew Len, author of Zero Limits, teacher of Ho'oponopono and former Chairman Emeritus of the Foundation of I.

"There are Buddhas and patriarchs ready to accompany serious seekers. They are independent of ideologies, do not play with a spiritual baby rattle, are free of intellectual trends and stay away from fundamentalist complaining. . . . [T]hey are guides and guardians of the'Gateless Gate'. . . . Such a person is Genro Laoshi. With his book, Find the Seeker!, he touches your heart." --Xue Feng, Abbot of the DingShan Monastery and Chan Master, alias Konrad von Moresbach of the Oblates of the Order of St. Benedict (the entire text is in the afterword).

"This exceptional and unique book ... is a valuable guide to jump start your journey away from ego-based and thought-dominated suffering to Being and pure Consciousness without the usual detours. Discard your preconceptions, and let it accompany you to unfold your true, non-dual nature." --Reza Ketabi Pour, spiritual teacher, healer and founder of the Ketabi Center

"This book is grounded, realistic and authentic. It entices us to follow the authors on the Middle Way--not in a painful, strained and complaining manner, but lighthearted and with joy. The book turns seekers into finders, and should be read again and again." --Fritz Maywald, management consultant, trainer and author
