Description

"A fantasy dystopia with engaging characters in a dark and dangerous society. The Hunger Games meets A Wrinkle in Time." ~Goodreads

In the Industrial District of Algea, the history taught to the children is alie. No one remembers the rule of Princess Effailya, or what happened to her. They only remember she existed before the castle disappeared.

When Fale starts to receive visions that come true, she doesn't know what to do about it. Then she uses her vision to save the life of a boxer (and her crush),and they find themselves being stalked by thugs.

The good news- she has the key they want.
The bad news- they want her too, dead or alive.

The Key of F is a fast-paced, suspenseful adventure, with a strong female lead surviving her dystopian society and solving the mystery of a hidden war, with her tight-knit group of friends and hot crush, that you won't want to put down. It's a must-read for fans who fell in love with The Hunger Games, Divergent, and The Reader series. If you're hooked on genre-blending sci-fi fantasy romance novels with action and adventure, you'll love The Key of F!

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange of an honest review.

The Key of F is a dystopian book, full of twists and adventure, with an interesting and peculiar female main character, Fale.
The country of Algea, after a terrible civil war, was divided in zones, each one centered on the production of a specific need (it reminds me a lot of The Hunger Games) and Fale, since her eighteen birthday, has visions, feelings, thoughts she can't explain. When for the first time she is able to act before the vision happens, saving her friend and crush, Keron, everything changes. Since her father was killed when she was eight years old, Fale was taken care and trained to fight by Nelson, his father's friend and kept her father ancient key as a necklace. When her saving Keron changes the course of action, Fale and her crush find themselves running from people who want her key and her death. Soon, looking for informations, seeking help, Fale and her friends, Keron, Lisle and Izzy, are involved into a mystery regarding an hidden war, a mysterious princess and strange powers.

Even though I didn't like so much the writing style (too many dialogues and too rushed in some parts), The Key of F is a captivating read, full of twists and interesting characters. I like Fale, a lot, because she's determined, strong and stubborn and I love her relationships with Keron, Lisle and Izzy. I liked the conflict she went through from being a normal person to...well, you need to read the book to discover it!
The story is a mix between The Hunger Games and Divergent (as soon as I read the description I knew I had to request this book!), with wizard, magic, love, mystery, riddles, journey, new places to see and people to free. Mixed with legends and powers, The Key of F is the first book of Freedom Fight Trilogy (it's possible to read a sneak peek of the second book from my copy and my need to know what will happen next is grow even more)
