I don't think I can express how much I loved reading, Hollywood Flirt. It was as if I was actually watching the movie play out in front of me and then for an extra bonus it's a movie inside a movie.

This is book 2 in the series, I have not yet read book one, but it is now on my TBR list! Hollywood Flirt is the first book I have read by this author and I will be reading more. This book hooked me in quick and took me for a ride. Sidney and Dash, what the public sees the stereotypical Hollywood glitterati, Her Hollywood royalty, him Hollywood bad boy, maybe it is earned. While the sub-genre of Hollywood can be predictable, this story was not. Behind the scenes, they are complex characters with real-life complications, exes. We get more of a movie production with a love story on the side, plus some suspense, a refreshing change.

Thank you to NetGalley and the Author for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

Hollywood Heartbreaker is the first book in the new series Hollywood Name Game by Alexa Ashton. It was an interesting book and had a great storyline. The characters were amazing and realistic. Rhett Corrigan was a famous movie star but was tired of the same old thing. He wanted to try something new, but his agent kept putting him off. His life had become boring until Cassie ran into his car! Cassie Carroll had moved to Hollywood with big dreams, but now she just wanted a job that pays better. Her day goes from bad to worse when she hits a car, causing both cars to explode. It gets even worse when she realizes it is Rhett Corrigan’s car. Rhett hiring her to be his assistant is a dream job for her and falling for him was not the plan. I enjoyed reading the book and seeing Rhett and Cassie’s life and careers grow as they finally realize their dreams. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

4.5 Stars!

Another award winner from author Alexa Aston is Hollywood Flirt, the second book from the Hollywood Name Game series. I devoured the first book, Hollywood Heartbreak, and I can't wait to read the third standalone installment.

Sydney Revere is the daughter of two Hollywood legends. When her mother passes away after suffering from cancer, Sydney needs her father more than ever. Unfortunately, his way of dealing with his own grief is by womanizing and ignoring Sydney. As a result, Sydney becomes a bit of a wild child and the constant media coverage only fuels her need for attention. With her life in shambles, she decides to leave Tinseltown and reinvent herself by changing her appearance, earning a law degree from Yale, and marrying into predictability. Ten years later, Sydney returns to her roots and her dad after she discovers that her husband has been cheating on her. She quickly finds love and a successful behind the scenes film career after meeting Dash DeLauria, a well-known actor in action films.

Dash's career is going well and his success has brought him both financial stability and recognizability. He is a talented actor and yearns to take on more complicated acting roles. Luckily, Dash is able to expand his acting chops when he is cast in No Regrets, Sidney's father's latest film. Although Dash prefers a no strings attached type of relationship, there is something about Sidney that makes him want to commit. He and Sidney form a instant love connection which evolves into much more.

I liked this story and the situation involving Sidney's ex-husband adds a bit of suspense. Sydney and her father's swift reconciliation, while never addressing their personal issues, was hard to understand. Sydney and Dash are a unique pair, and their happily ever after was worth waiting for.

Wow, what a wonderful story of reinventing yourself! Sydney gets to do that, twice! After hiding away from her family, and her legacy, she's ready to go home to Hollywood. Her dad accepts her with open arms. He even gives her a job on a movie that he's directing. That's how she meets Dash. Although he's a total player, there is a sweet, wonderful side to him that no one knows exists. These two have some intense chemistry together. Sydney isn't quite sure what to do about that. I especially loved Dash's brother. He's such a innocent, and sweet character. Really refreshing. I thoroughly enjoyed this story!!!

I really enjoyed this book and have already pre-ordered the next in the series. You really get your money's worth with this book. The book does a really good job of letting you know who Sydney is and who Dash is. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read in advance! I cannot wait for Hollywood Player to come out!

This book was a very enjoyable read with good character and storyline development that kept me glued to my kindle until the very last page was turned!

Hollywood Flirt is the second book in Alexa Aston's Hollywood Name Game series, but it can easily be read as a stand alone; and it certainly was a fast-paced and engaging tale. That was fairly light on the angst and drama not to mention sweet and a little sexy. And it was full of likable characters, including the main two Sydney and Dash, and whilst I did find Sydney's return and parts of her romance with Dash a little unbelievable and the “I love you's” a little fast, I still found it very readable, which is why I'd happily recommend it to others.

Sydney is the daughter of a famous actress and movie director. Her mother dies from cancer and she acts out, marrying an actor twice her age. When he’s killed in a horrible car accident, she decides to leave the Hollywood life behind and reinvent herself. She goes to law school, and remarried. The marriage ends, because her husband cheats. She decides she misses her father, and her home in California, and realizes law isn’t for her.
Dash is a up and coming Hollywood Star, who doesn’t believe in marriage or having a lasting relationship with women. When he goes to Sydney’s father about a part in a movie, he meets Sydney. And feels the instant attraction. They begin a relationship, and Sydney hides her past husband from Dash. They try to make the relationship work, until Sydney’s ex comes back into the picture.

I really enjoyed this book. It was written well, and the characters were all wonderful and strong. This book help my attention, and kept me interested. I definitely recommend it if you want a sweet romance, with a little bit of intrigue.

Hollywood Flirt by Alexa Aston a five-star read that will leave you with no Regrets. This is number two in the Hollywood name Game series, they can all be read as stand-alone, but I have loved the series so far. This was just sublime if you have not read the first novel it doesn’t matter as you wont get lost as the characters from the first pop up, but they could be anyone all of the secondary characters are just so well done, I loved that about the first and adore it even more in this one. If you have read the first, its just like little Easter eggs popping up, private jokes that make you smile, and enhance the story but not missed if you haven’t, it’s the best true stand-alone series that I have read for along time. Dash DeLauria is just a surprise, you picture him one way on the surface and as you get to know him you see how warm and strong, he is and how perfect he is for Sydney, it may take her some time to realise but that’s her story to tell and one you need to pick this story up to find out. I can promise you that if you pick this series up you will be left with absolutely No Regrets. Now bring on number three as I could use more comedy in my life even if it’s only a small part!!

Wow - my first Alexa Aston book and I loved it!,

I picked up Hollywood Flirt to read late last night fully intending to read a chapter or 2 then read the remaining chapters the following morning, Welp.... that didn’t happen once I started I couldn’t put the book down I was drawn in and needed to know what happened. I loved the characters and I enjoyed the plot,
The book tells the tale of a prodigal Hollywood daughter Sydney returning home after being gone for 13ish years recovering from a nasty divorce and reclaiming her ‘real life’ by reuniting with her estranged father and coming to terms with all that she lost. Once she’s back in lala land she begins to fall in love with a Hollywood leading man #swoon. Our leading man is a star on the cusp of becoming a mega star all he needs is that break through role and his younger brother Not interested in women other than for a night or two. . I will be honest it was actually the younger brother that really stole my heart. I loved Herc and Dash’s relationship the brothers were incredible close with dash sacrificing relationships to put Herc first until he met Sydney.
The book was fast paced but not quite an insta love romance and had drama throughout without The plot feeling rushed. For me there was the right amount of ‘filler’ I wasn’t lost in overly wordy descriptions or repeated information that didn’t warrant repeating for the scenes there were written in. This morning I have purchased the 1st book in the series because quite simply put I wanted more.

4.5-5 stars.

This is a pretty new author for me and this is book 2 in the series. I did read book 1 and it was good but it had issues. This book was so much better than book one. I loved Dash so much and I adored Sydney. I loved the minor characters as well.

This story introduced two new characters in Hollywood, Sydney Revere who dumped Hollywood ten years before and is now running back home to her father, a movie producer. Dash is an actor, with a lot of talent but who wants in on a movie written by the female lead in the first book, Maggie. We get to see alot of Maggie and Rhett from the first book, which was awesome and I loved how they befriend Dash and Sydney.

This story was fun, had great characters, no other involvements with exes and had a great plot and lots of suspense as Sydney's crazy ex husband is after her.

4 Stars for this Hollywood couple!

After her life in Hollywood exploded, 17-year old Sydney moved to New York and started her life over, eventually became a lawyer and marrying a "safe" man. But when her husband cheats on her, she decides she wants her old life in Hollywood back. After contacting her estranged father, she becomes his assistant on a film he's directing. Dash is an up and coming actor who is portrayed as a playboy, but he's really just trying to protect his brother and his heart. When Sydney and Dash meet, the sparks fly and they can't get enough of each other.

This is a sweet romance that had me rooting for Sydney and Dash to have a happily-ever-after. Dash's brother Herc is just a breath of fresh air ... what a kind sole and it warmed my heart that Dash took good care of him after their mother left and father died. But I just thought that Sydney and Dash's relationship started too fast ... Dash was a confirmed bachelor and the day after he meets Sydney, he loves her and wants to spend the rest of his life with her.

I love reading stories about Hollywood, so I was excited to read Hollywood Flirt, an engaging story about a famous action star. It is fun getting an inside look into what it takes to make a movie. This story is Intriguing with romance and suspense added to the mix. The characters are entertaining, work well together and share tons of chemistry.
Sydney was known as a wild child in Hollywood. She is the daughter of famous parents and for years has lived a life out of the headlines. She decides to return to Hollywood after realizing she is bored with her life and misses her home.
Dash is a successful action star working in Hollywood. He is a good guy who works hard and takes care of his younger brother. He has no interest in relationships, until he meets Sydney.
When Dash and Sydney meet they have an instant connection. At first they share scorching looks, which turns into more. I liked Dash and Sydney together and I thought they would make a great team. They aren’t your typical Hollywood couple, they aren’t interested in parties and being seen, they both crave a simple life. I enjoyed this engaging story about life in Hollywood.

A fun, fast-paced book about learning to grow and trust. Sydney ran away from her Hollywood upbringing after the death of her mother and some wild actions. She re-invents herself as a lawyer and wife in a safe (for her), quiet existence until she catches her husband cheating. Back to Hollywood she goes to work for her father on a temporary basis, which turns into permanent work. She meets Dash, an up-and-coming action star with a string of revolving bedmates. Sydney doesn’t trust men, Dash doesn’t trust women and yet they hook up and build a relationship. I liked how the characters were so resistant at first, and then grew and changed and learned to trust. The scenes with Dash’s developmentally disabled brother, who Dash cares for, could break your heart (in a good way). A good book. I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. This is my freely given, honest review.

I received this book from NetGalley in return for an honest review. This is a very good read when you need something light and fun. The characters are lovable (if you can love really rich people) , the story is interesting enough with a touch of mystery and lot about the glamour and reality of making movies. I suppose Dash would be the modern day version of the Regency 'reformed rake' - once he realizes that the heroine is the girl for him he changes his ways and doesn't look back.
