A beautifully crafted tale of magic, friendship, and love in the face of incredible odds. Carol Craig's world-building is masterful, and her characters are complex and unforgettable. Brigid's journey is both thrilling and poignant, and the themes of sisterhood and empowerment are woven seamlessly throughout the story. I loved the unique twist on the traditional hero's journey, and the twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. This book is a must-read for anyone looking for a magical and inspiring adventure.

Carol Craig has a great writing style, I enjoyed the concept overall and thought the characters were what I was looking for. I loved the magic elements and thought everything worked well in this story. I looked forward to more from Carol Craig as I enjoyed this a lot.

"For my part, I simply eyed Henry to see what he thought of these two simpering young ladies and the lovely Beatrice. Clearly, he adored the flattery, used to being a star among men. Yet when he glanced over at me, his cheeks flushed, as though recognizing this weakness in himself--the need to be the center of attention."
