Description

“Eden’s the present — a bridge to Tomorrowland, embroidered by yesterday’s hands” - Phuong Huynh

Be swept away by beautiful words that sing straight to your soul.

“I See a Garden in My Head” is a collection of poems by a highly-skilled and passionate poetry writer, Phuong Huynh, who expertly twists and tangles raw emotions with beautiful lyric poetry.

This pandemic has not been easy on anyone. We have all had our share of grief and loss. However, with things moving so fast, we haven’t been able to take a moment to sit down with our emotions.

But you don’t have to face those emotions alone.

This collection of melodic poems is here to be your companion as you go through each of your emotions and finally let go of the things that have been hanging over your head.

Find hope and know that your journey to healing and acceptance begins here.

Inspired by raw emotions and what it means to be human, Ms. Huynh is able to weave strong emotions with stunning and wistful rhymes to properly encapsulate what it’s like to be alive.

With heart-wrenching poems that touch on topics like cyberbullying, adulthood realizations, healing, facing collective trauma, and more, you’ll surely find your place here.

Be reminded that no matter what happens, you can always heal. Get back to living your life with renewed purpose and a fresh new outlook on life.

After all, life is fleeting and it is up to us to make the most out of the time we are given.

Got an eArc from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This pandemic became one of the major crises for people, externally and internally within themselves.

This poetry book does speak straight to my distressed soul. I wish I'd read this from the start of the pandemic for it to be my companion. But as of now and onwards, it will be with me evermore.

I See A Garden In My Head: A Poetry Chapbook by Phuong Huynh is such a great read during this pandemic for those who had their friendships severed, challenged in love, and longing for what was. This poetry book portrays accepting a new beginning.

I really like the cover and the butterflies flying above her head. The words are beautiful and there is some really lovely poems . You can keep going back to these poems . The poems are very short and the book is 44 pages not long. Thank you NetGalley for letting me read this book.

One of the best poetry collection I have read recently.

I love how organised the content is! That surprised me and I am not really sure why!

However, the most important part I was looking for when I opened the book was the expression and the writing. And it impressed me. Right from the very first poem to the last, I kept on reading each line as if I was the one who wrote it all. Yes, the content is that relatable.

You will find so much comfort in between these poems as you will feel these lines were written just for you, bringing up the happy and not so happy moments which we all go through almost everyday.

A much relatable book.

Thank you, Books to Hook Publishing, for the advance reading copy.
