Description

A twisted domestic thriller in the vein of B. A. Paris and Shari Lapena that asks: How well do you know your friends?

That picture you posted?
I’ve seen it.
That location you tagged?
I’ve been there.
I know everything about your life . . .
And I’m going to destroy it.

A recent transplant from sunny California, life in the London suburbs is not what Taylor Watson expected. Far from the West End shops and city lights she imagined, she finds herself pregnant and lonely, with a husband frequently away on business and only social media to keep her company. It’s only after Taylor joins a book club and a walking group, that she finally starts to make some real-life friends.

Before long, Taylor’s hanging out with Anna, Sarah, Simon, and Caroline but, as her pregnancy progresses and her friendships blossom, a sense of unease develops. Nothing’s ever quite as it seems on the surface, and it soon becomes clear that Taylor’s new friends have secrets. One appears to be after Taylor’s husband, another’s always putting her down, and then there’s the question of Simon. Could he have feelings for Taylor?

But far more worryingly, one of the group’s not being too careful what they post on social media—and another is watching all too closely. Who’s stalking who . . . and why?

Suburban London is about as far away from California as you can get and nothing like Taylor Watson expected. Her husband is always too busy for her and she finds herself lonely and pregnant. She makes new friends after joining a local book club, but something about those new friends makes Taylor edgy. Is it just pregnancy hormones? Or is one of her buddies actually after Taylor’s hubby? A timely story about the frightening power of social media and our loss of privacy

I received an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was a really enjoyable thriller – certainly not Booker Prize material but it checked all the boxes and I loved every minute of it and was sad to see it end. Fun characters, great plot. 4 1/2 rounded to five because the end was ever so slightly cheesy

Taylor Watson and her husband, Jake, have recently moved from th US to London. With her husband away from home for 1 - 2 weeks at a time, and with her being pregnant, that she really misses her friends and family. Finally, after joining a walking group and a book club, does she start making friends.

Taylor's new friends are Anna, Sarah, Simon and Caroline .. but after awhile she suspects that they all have secrets of one sort or another. One member of the group seems to have a thing for Taylor's husband. As he was caught cheating early in their marriage, Taylor is not especially pleased. And Simon .. the token man ... harbors some feelings for Taylor.

This story is told by Taylor's perspective. However, there is another voice ... one who is stalking someone in the group. From the beginning, we learn the stalker is following very closely the posts on Instagram and Facebook. The book revolves around the use of social media and how we allow people to know everything about our lives, without actually knowing anything about them.

I KNOW YOU is a fast, addictive read that will genuinely make you reconsider what you put out there on social media. Multiple suspects keep the reader engaged and guessing ... until the very end.

Many thanks to the author / Crooked Lane Books / Netgalley for the advanced digital copy of this psychological thriller. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

Wow, this is one of the best physiological thrillers I’ve read in a while.
I agree with other reviews that the plot is a little unbelievable, however this did not distract from my enjoyment.
I loved all the twists and turns and the relationship between the two main characters. Another great book by this fantastic author.

Wow, what a nailbiter this is! It was almost impossible to put down with a an ending that had me holding my breath. I was also very happy that I' m not on FB, Twitter or Instagram!
An absorbing psychological thriller of a social media stalker who poses as a friend, with almost disastrous consequences, this was a read I guarantee you will not be able to put down. A perfect book for anyone who wants a spellbinding
couple of days stuck with one's nose in a tense read.

I enjoyed this thriller, particularly the way it presents technology and social media, and the usual reaction we all have to the digital world.

We are all aware of the dangers of sharing too much information about ourselves in social media, and yet... we all seem to think that 'we' are safe. Once you read this book, maybe you'll understand that you are, most certainly, not.

Fast and absorbing, this is a book easy to read and recommended to all those who like thrillers.

I Know You by Anna Kantaria is a twisted and chilling domestic noir that I found nearly impossible to put down. This will not be the last of Ms Kantaria's novels to grace my bookshelf, of that I am certain. This novel is absolutely gripping.

Taylor, an American ex-pat living in London, serves as the novel's narrator and tells us very early on that "this is a story born of loneliness." Taylor is desperately trying to make human connections in London, and confesses that her only friends since moving overseas have been Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Joining a walking group Taylor quickly meets Anna and Simon, the former becoming a close confidante, and the latter a shadowy outcast lurking at the periphery of the narrative throughout. While Taylor is the primary narrator of the story, intermittent chapters reveal to us the voice of an unknown "stalker" who sees and knows all, and serves as an ominous presence.

At the crux of this story is the role that social media plays in our daily lives, and the author, essentially, offers a chilling reminder that someone, somewhere, is always watching, and that oversharing can sometimes lead to very sinister consequences.

I very much enjoyed the author's ability to keep me fully engaged throughout the story. I could not wait to turn the pages, and was kept guessing until the very end. This is a novel that will force you to think twice about your next post!

Many thanks to NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books for this fabulous ARC.

British author Annabel Kantaria has written what is sure to be one of the most talked about books of the year. I Know You is a suspense novel that features not only rich characters and a brilliant plot but also writing that catapults the reader into the action almost as if an active participant in what unfolds.

Taylor and Jake are an attractive young married couple, recently transplanted from sunny California to the grey skies of Jake’s hometown—Croydon, England. As the novel opens, it is revealed that the couple is in the UK seeking a fresh start after Taylor discovered that Jake was having an affair. England, however, isn’t all that the then pregnant Taylor thought it would be. Her husband is gone for long periods of time with his work, and she is bored, lonely and desperate for friends. She immerses herself in social media, recording and sharing every moment of her life in an effort to feel more connected. When she joins both a walking group and a book club, Taylor begins to build what she hopes will be lifelong relationships. Not all is as it seems, however, and she is about to learn that the old cliche “be careful what you wish for” is far more accurate a warning than she could have ever imagined.

The structure of the novel is that of a first person narrative, though it’s clear from the start that chapters alternate between at least two different perspectives. On one hand, Taylor tells the straight forward tale of what transpired during her pregnancy. She is, however, painted as perhaps an unreliable narrator, which adds to ever-building tension. The second narrator isn’t identified until the denouement, but the writing in those chapters is wicked, gritty and full of anger and resentment. The author moves fluidly between the two voices in an ebb and flow that rocks from comfort to unease and back again.

Within this unusual format, Kantaria develops her characters in a way that makes them easily believable, even if not particularly likable. Through their dialogue and actions we learn that they are all in some way flawed, which is perhaps why they are so engaging. There’s no doll-house facade here, as the true nature of each is portrayed, raw and uncensored. Taylor is obsessive, short tempered and needy. Jake is flirtatious, aloof and lacks self-awareness. Even the more minor characters are exposed as imperfect human beings who are sometimes victims of circumstance and other times just victims. It’s clear that Kantaria understands what makes people tick, and she moves forward manipulating that knowledge, making us squirm as we catch glimpses of ourselves.

My single complaint was in the fact that although Taylor is presented as an American, she uses British terminology and spelling. She calls her friends “mates”, a cooler becomes a “chiller” and in the narration “favorite” is spelled with a u. There are myriad examples of this throughout, and it is these oversights that kept this from being a five star read.

Overall, this is a wonderful book that gains momentum as it moves toward a finish that, while possibly predictable, is nonetheless exciting. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a suspenseful thriller that keeps the pages turning. Thanks to NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books for providing me with a copy of this for review!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The pages flew by and I kept reading trying to finally find out what exactly happened to Taylor. There were minor irritations throughout-for example, Taylor was supposed to be an American from California. No, just no. She had all the affectations of a Brit-honestly you could not tell her voice was any different than the other characters who were all natives of England. In addition, there were a few unbelievable suspensions of belief and most of the characters (especially the husband Jake and two of the book club friends) were very unlikable. Still, I would recommend to lovers of suspense and the continuing trend of psychological thrillers where you just don't know which character to believe. The writing was strong and it was not boring at any time.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for a chance to read.

Love ×3 the book

The author pulls you into the story from the beginning to the end. I did not anticipate the ending due to the suspense being built up from the beginning. Do you really know the person on social media? The book (to me) expressed the pro and con of social media. That was an appreciated addition to the thrilling read.

Thank you netgalley!

I absolutely loved this book and really got into the characters and the weird guy in the walking group. I hadn’t a clue what was going to happen but I wasn’t as thrilled with the second half but it’s still a great book . I would definitely recommend it

I was completely absorbed and enthralled by this book. I was so eager to get to end even as I didn't want it to end.

Very pregnant Taylor has just moved to London from the States after patching her marriage back together with her unfaithful husband, Jake. She is eager to connect with others and joins a book club and a walking group. She makes four different friends; Caroline, Anna, Simon and Sarah, all a little nuts in their own way and each perhaps harboring their own secrets.

Taylor tells the story but there is another POV as well, the voice of a deliciously sadistic stalker who is hellbent on ruining the life of one of the other five and uses social media like a weapon to do so. But we don't know who the stalker is and we don't know their target.

This was a fast, fun, heart thumping read and I just had to find out who and why...and I was happy to be so surprised when I finally did.

Thank you to Annabel Kantaria, Crooked Lane Books and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

This book seriously captured me from the first couple of pages! I LITERALLY devoured this book in just 2 days and that is only because I had to work, feed my kid and pay attention to my husband. I loved the way it was written. I felt that the MC was fresh and although I felt embarrassed for her at times for her actions and the way her husband acts toward her and her reaction to it I still really enjoyed her as a MC and the “support” characters were amazing as well.

This stalker book is a good reason why you should always be careful what you post on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!!! Be aware!! Once it is out there…..I also think the social media aspect of the book was a big draw since there isn’t a person alive who doesn’t dip into one of these platforms.

The book revolves around Taylor who has just moved and is lonely and wants to make friends, she sets herself up in situations where she meets people through “stalking” or is it researching? Ha! on social media and the ramifications of stalking, social media and people not being who they appear online leads to a very fast paced thriller! #hooked #lovethisbook

“You trust me. You shouldn’t.” That’s the hook that made me want to dive headfirst into “I know you” by Annabel Kantaria. Special thanks to Netgalley and Crooked Lane press for this great ARC.

Taylor is new to the area. She and hubby Jake have moved from sunny California to England. Croydon no less. For a fresh start. To put the past in the past while they await the birth of their first child. Problem is, Jake is always traveling for work and desperate for company and making new friends Taylor joins a few meet up groups until she settles on a walking group. Even posts a picture to Instagram to let the world she’s #walking at #lloydpark That killer me. Also the other hashtags Taylor uses throughout the book had me laughing out loud. Kind of at her. #soblessed #babymoon.

Anyway, Taylor enjoys sharing with world and she must do if her privacy settings are public.

After meeting Anna in her walking group, and Simon too. Taylor soon starts to feel a sense of belonging even if that Simon is a bit creepy. He seems nice enough to Taylor. Not Anna though. She gives him a wide berth.

When Taylor joins a book club, she also invites Anna to join and are introduced to two more characters. Harmless enough. Or are the ladies at book club a bit much?

Taylor never imagined having her baby without Jake by her side but, as usual, Jake is traveling and Taylor’s early! Thank god for such a good friend that is Anna.

We all need friends. Careful, are they really friends? A good read!

4.5 Stars!

I loved reading this book! I Know You is a thrilling roller coaster ride that left me breathless and turning the pages until its explosive conclusion. Well plotted and very well-written, this novel is a must read for fans of the genre; especially if you're one of the millions of people who post personal images on social media and share tidbits of your day to day life. We really don't know who's watching us!

I found the protagonist, Taylor, the pregnant American wife living in London to placate her not-so-great husband to be realistic and quite relatable. Pregnancy really does color a woman's perspective, especially without the support of family and friends, and watching Taylor struggle to adapt to her new surroundings made me root for her from the first page to the last. There are lots of suspects in this mystery/thriller to choose from and all are interesting characters that lure us deeper into the drama. (Because I was drawn into the story, I was able to forgive the diction of the American heroine sounding exactly like her English acquaintances.) I thoroughly enjoyed reading I Know You by Annabel Kantaria and recommend adding it to your 2019 reading list. Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

I absolutely loved this book! I thought I knew what was going to happen, but I was wrong, as the plot carefully unfolded to reveal major surprises towards the end of the book. The supporting characters were well-developed throughout the book; however we do not know what happens with any of them at the end of the book. I will definitely recommend this book to others who enjoy the thriller genre.

"I Know You" caught me from the very beginning, & held on the end. It was 1 of those books where i picked it up whenever i had a few minutes & had to be dragged away!
A very pregnant Taylor & her husband (who she doesn't quite trust) have recently moved to London for a fresh start. Taylor is desperate to meet new friends & these friends become main characters in the story. The book is told mostly in first person narration (Taylor,) but there are scattered chapters written by an unknown obsessed stalker! It's more then the usual rantings though, this stalker is intelligent & diabolical! In fact, in my opinion this book is so good because of all of the characters. Each of them have been well thought, they're complicated and flawed and i genuinely enjoyed each of them. Another aspect i really appreciated is how current the book is. Social media is a recurring theme & the situations are completely realistic. & let me tell you, it's not something I'll be forgetting when i log on any time soon!
If you enjoy psychological thrillers, i absolutely recommend this 1! It's an easy, quick read.. There wasn't a single part that dragged, which happens to my personal pet peeve. It's not dark or gloomy, the ambience is just normal married life... But the twists keep coming & the ending was not at all what i expected! (& isn't that just the way it should be?! 🙂)
I want to say thank you to Annabel Kantaria, Crooked Lane Books, & Net Gally for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Will also recommend this book to others.
Great read

This was good! It's told from Taylor's point-of-view, but every now and then we'd get a glimpse into the mind of a stalker. They want to ruin someone's life and they're using this person's social media as a weapon. Who is this person?! The author would feed us a little morsel of information and it drove me crazy, I couldn't stand not knowing what was going on! But to be honest, I enjoyed the book better when I had that suspense. It just wasn't the same when I got to the big reveal. It was clever, but I liked it better when I didn't know. I loved the suspense. Great characters. Definitely a page-turner that will remind you of the dangers of what you post on social media.

Wow, Wow!! This book kept me reading late into the night! Once a major twist was revealed, I couldn't put it down until I reached the end of the book!! Taylor and her husband, Jake move to London to give their marriage a fresh start. Jake travels a lot for his job so Taylor is left alone at home several days a week. Taylor is 32 weeks pregnant and desperate for companionship. When Taylor joins a walking group, she meets Anna. Taylor and Anna have a lot in common; Anna's husband works in Qatar and is only home a couple of days every 4-6 weeks, they both lived in the United States, they are both expecting, they were both flight attendants and they both have no close friends. Their friendship blossoms and they share stories and secrets like best friends . Taylor is very active on social media and regularly posts pictures and activities to her accounts. She posts so much that a lot of her life is public information. As close as they become, they never have a chance to meet each other's husbands. As their lives intertwine they become almost like sisters. Then something unexpected happens and Taylor realizes she never really knew Anna at all and all the secrets she's shared with Anna and the information she's posted online are used against her in a horrible way. This book has a lot of unexpected twists, reminders that people are not always as they seem and it left me with the question "who can you ever really trust?" I really enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to reading more from this author. Thank-you Netgalley, Crooked Lane Books and Annabel Kantaria for an ARC in exchange for my review. Posted also on Goodreads and Amazon.

Whilst this book was a little slow to start it certainly did not continue that way. I was gripped after the first couple of chapters and loved the twists. I really didn't see them coming which is brilliant as i would normally have guessed the twist. I would highly recommend this book and will be keeping an eye on this author.

Finished this book in one day because I was on the edge of my seat. The author includes, between chapters, letters written by a stalker but does not tell you who is being stalked or doing the stalking. The author leaves it up to the reader to figure out the mystery which was great. The story brought a new meaning to social media. It details how someone is able to stalk you based on all that you share on social media. We often do not realize how much we post about our lives on social media. So much so it may make it easy for someone to figure out all our family members, favorite spots to dine, where we work and who we communicate with. This book made me want to re-evaluate how much I share on social media. This book was different from any that I have read recently because rather than it being set in history it is set in the present social media world.

Wow! What a thrilling, absolutely shocking book! It was so taught and thrilling, I found myself ignoring many of the things I should have been doing in order to find out what was going to happen, but most importantly who it was going to be doing all the nasty stuff! I thought I had it figured out, until a chilling turn left me breathless and shocked! Amazing!

UNPUTDOWNABLE. ADDICTIVE. TWISTY. FULL OF WTF MOMENTS!
All the Stars!

Fast moving story with characters we really got to know. There was nothing in this book that wasn't needed or didnt lend itself to the plot. Everything and everyone were somewhere intertwined.
I absolutely loved every minute of this book. The big twist was an added bonus to an already addicting story!!
I recommend this book with 10 stars!

Thank you #NetGalley, the publisher and the author for my ARC copy in exchange for my honest review! I can't thank you enough for the opportunity to read this book which comes out in June. Will also post to goodreads.

Taylor is new to the UK, having recently moved from America with her husband. Struggling to adjust in a friendless country, and out-of-work, since she is pregnant, she decides to explore and make some friends. Her husband is also away for work most of the times. She joins a local walking group and simultaneously is invited by her neighbor, Sarah, to be part of her book club. This is where she meets Anna, Simon, and Caroline. Has she finally found the friends she craves for or are they not exactly what they seem?

The narrative is mainly from Taylor’s perspective, interspersed with thoughts of another character. You know that Taylor is getting stalked, but you are not able to tell who it is. The author does a good job in keeping the suspense around these main characters, anyone of whom could be the stalker. So who is it? One of her newly-found friends at the walking group or one of the women at her book club? And what do they really want?

Taylor remains completely unaware till her worst nightmare hits her and hits her hard.
This story is born from loneliness. Unless you’ve experienced it, you’ve no idea where it can lead you.
When you crave the human touch, you resort to social media. This book will leave you thinking twice about prolific social media usage – and gives you an inkling to privacy settings, which is so important in today’s day and era; because you can trust no one. Please be careful of what you post online – you don’t know who is using what against you.

“You trust me. You shouldn’t.”

And with that quote - let the madness and mayhem ensue!

I Know You, is a dark, leathery, vexing tale that checks all of my “must have” boxes when it comes to being a good thriller. It was a read that drew me in like a stranger offering candy- I was enticed by it’s sweetness and held captive until the last page. What can I say, other than, I’m a sucker for a tale that limelight’s a psychotic villain hell bent on getting revenge! So, with that said, I give I Know You, 5 bright shining stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was so good, I couldn’t put it down! I Know You by Annabel Kantaria kept me glued to the pages and I honestly didn’t figure it out until the author revealed the secrets.

Here’s the premise:

Who’s stalking who . . . and why?

I loved the idea that the person watching Taylor could be one of several shady characters. The writing was tense, you really are on the edge of your seat as the book progresses. Not out until June, I will be reminding you when it is published!

Thank you to Netgalley for the advanced copy of this novel.

I was not familiar with the author Annabel Kantaria, so I went with this book based on the description and book cover.

I genuinely loved reading "I know you" all though it doesn't have you gripped until a few chapters in, once I had got past that I was totally in, the story is told as that -"a story-" Taylor is giving you her account of what has happened to lead up to where she is in life and how she got to be where she is. It is cleverly written in a way I've not come across before in Physcological Thrillers and that is my favourite genre I tend to read, so I enjoyed this different style of writing. I also enjoyed the second Narrator every few chapters, that gives a twist on this book. No spoilers given!

I at times felt I was breathless, on edge, really wanted to skim read and know what the plot twist was *I didn't* once I did start unravelling the plot... My heart was racing and I wanted to know what the final chapters had in store! The last 2 chapters if I'm honest with you, let down the rest of the book, though not worthy of anything less than 5 stars from me! I thoroughly enjoyed this book, would recommend and will go on to read more Physcological Thrillers by this author.

What a gripping story! I finished it in three sessions as the tension mounts. The story unfolds during the last weeks of pregnancy of the American girl Taylor who moved with her British husband to London. She is lonely and joins a weekly walking group to make some friends and not all turn out what they seem to be. It is also a cautionary tale what we post on social media about every aspect of our life, so much that any stalker has it easy to ‘know you‘. A good psychological thriller with great build up.

Taylor is 7 months pregnant and recently moved with her husband, Jake, to the UK. Jake works and spends a lot of time away from home, leaving Taylor to her own. With Taylor being new to the area she spends a lot of time online on Instagram and Twitter. Taylor posts her life for the world to see on the internet. Eventually Taylor decides to join a walking group where she meets Simon and Anna. Taylor feels an instant pull to Anna who is also pregnant. Taylor also meets a neighbor, Sarah, who invites her to a book club, where she then meets Caroline.

As time progresses, Anna feels she is being watched. Strange events happen and stranger feelings occur. Who is watching Anna? Are they also watching Taylor?

The book has alternates between a stalker and Taylor.

I felt all the characters had a mysterious feel to them, that all of them had possible secrets and could not be trusted. I liked the edge feeling of wondering who was the stalker. 5/5

Thank you to Netgalley, Crooked Lane Books and Annabel Kantaria for a copy of 'I Know You' in exchange for an honest review.

Taylor meets Anna and Simon at a weekly walking tour near London. Anna is from Texas and Taylor from California. So, they have a lot in common having just arrived in the UK a month or two, ago. Simon, a bit older, is a member of the walking club, too, and seems a bit odd.

Sarah, who lives close to both Anna and Taylor, invites them to join a book club. Here, they meet Caroline (Caro) who eventually tells the "club" that she lost a 1 year old due to a chocking accident. Both being pregnant, Anna and Taylor feel sorry for the brash and brassy Caroline now.

Sarah seems to have her sights set on Jake (Taylor's husband) while Anna's husband is working in Qatar. Rarely does he come home. Even Jake travels days/weeks at a time for his work.

Anna helps Taylor deliver Joseph as (of course) Jake is out of town.

A trip to The States is in order to see Taylor's parents - and their chance to meet Joe.

But just wait - you won't see what's coming next!!!!!

A super read!!!

Many thanks to Crooked Lane Books and NetGalley for a rock and roll read!

I wasn’t sure what to think of this book in the beginning, but would not put it down. I’m glad I didn’t! I will not give too much away but I couldn’t wait to see how this was going to play out. It kept my interest and kept me guessing. I do definitely recommended this book!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, was one that I spent hours reading and didn’t want to put down. The way the book is written with the very different character personalities, really puts you inside the story.
I like the current and modern touch to this book, mainly regarding the use of social media and the consequences of over sharing!
The book focussed on lonely, pregnant and friendless Taylor who has moved with her husband (who works away a lot) from Cali to Croydon! She joins a walking group and book club to make friends and this how the story begins with Taylor making new ‘friends’ and one best friend called Anna, who she is desperate to be friends with!

I won’t give too much away beyond this, for fear of spoiling this but I highly rate this book. It’s gripping and will keep you guessing right until the very end!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book! Good character development. Was not sure where this was all leading, but the "reveal" took me by surprise. Highly recommended!

I loved this book, I was absolutely hooked and just had to keep reading. The story and the characters really intrigued me and it was very well written. I liked this story as it made me think about the characters and who was behind everything, I kept going backwards and forwards trying to work it out. There were some nice twists along the way. The only negative is how quickly things were tied up in the end which was slightly disappointing. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

The twists and turns take the reader on a ride they never want to get off until its shocking end.

Highly recommend this book !

Oh social media. You get us every time...

When Taylor Watson moves to London, she's in for a rude awakening. It's not the life she always pictured and now she's pregnant without her husband around. Once she finds a group of friends and things start to fall into place, strange things start happening on social media.

Do you really know your closest friends? This book will have you second guessing that...

Be careful what you post on social media! That seems to be the theme of this book. I feel like there are a lot of stories out there lately that revolve around social media stalkers. It's so creepy, it will definitely make you want to be more careful about what you put out there for everyone to see.

Taylor has recently moved to London, her husband's home town, as she tries to rekindle her relationship with her husband after he cheated on her. Taylor struggles to make new friends and she tries joining a few new groups to meet people in her new city. One of her new friends may be stalking her, but which one? The book is told from Taylor's point of view and another's point of view that is following / stalking Taylor.

This book was so captivating from the beginning. It was creepy, but also intriguing because we don't know who this other person is. It definitely kept me guessing until the end!

Thank you to Crooked Lane Books and NetGalley for the Advanced Reading Copy of “I Know You.”

This book was a page turner for sure, especially towards the end. There were multiple characters in the story but not so many that it was hard to keep up. Watching the relationships develop between Taylor and each of the supporting characters kept me interested. Taylor’s naive, unassuming personality was sort of endearing. She wasn’t your typical naive character that you feel like screaming at throughout the story.

The chapters told from a different character’s perspective were really great sidebars, they were short & to the point and had me guessing right up until the last chunk of the book who was telling that part of the story.

All around a solid novel that I would read again and would like to see made into a motion picture.

All is well that ends well, right? Definitely a good read. Check it out.

This book is all about the negative aspects of social media. People are so busy with Facebook, Instagram, etc. Putting their who life out there for people to see. I for one am not of fan of this so just for that reason alone I loved this book. But it was a real page turner and the main character, Taylor, who is so lonely avails herself of this. As you read this book, which once I started it, I could not put it down till I found out who the true stalker was and I did not guess it till it was revealed. Looking back now, all the clues were there so for me it was great that I did not see this person as the stalker of Taylor. As far as the pitfalls of social media this book really explores and exposes all the negative aspects. I highly recommend this book for two reasons. One is it was a book full of intrigue and suspense and the other reason is making one aware of the negative side of social media and how one should be so carefully with what information they put on these sites. Also it was well written and I want to thank net galley for this ARC I got for an honest review. (less)This book is all about the negative aspects of social media. Who's stalking who? This book kept me guessing the whole way through. I thought I had a major plot twist figured out but I was wrong! Love a book like this!

Very entertaining read and certainly a page-turner. So intimate was the first-person narration that I felt like I was inside Taylor's world. A few editorial tics here and there--for example, tourists are no longer allowed to climb Chichen Itza in Mexico--but none of this detracted from my enjoyment of the novel. Definitely makes you think about how we put our lives out there on social media. Kudos to the author for a great book and thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for an early copy.

This book is really new age suspense because social media is incorporated into it and because of that it makes you think.

It was a really tense and fast paced thriller by a new to me author. It was well written and outstanding.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for this ARC!

4.5/5

Taylor and Jake have just moved from California to the London area. Taylor is 7 months pregnant and lonely, so decides to join a walking cub, where she meets Anna (also pregnant), and Simon. Then joins a book club where she meets Caroline and Sarah. But how well does she really know her new friends? How well can you really know your friends...or your spouse?
When you are not sure who to trust, who can you trust?
Absorbing story with colorful and easy to like characters, draw you instantly into their lives- this thriller delivers all the punches with several twists that change everything. One of the most captivating and compelling novels I have read.
Thanks to Crooked Lane Books and Annabel Kantaria for this e-book ARC for an honest and fair review.

Wow! As someone who is very active on social media, especially Instagram, this was exceptionally creepy!

Taylor, a California native, has moved with her husband back to his hometown of Croydon, England, and is struggling to make friends. She has always lived her life through social media-constantly uploading little snippets of her life, be it where she goes for her honeymoon, for dinner, even her new baby’s crib and clothes. Sounds like most of us, right? When she joins a walking group in her neighborhood, she’s so lonely, homesick, and desperate for interaction she tries to get one of the girls, Anna, to like her, instantly. Slowly, Anna warms up to her, but Simon, also seemingly desperate for friendship, is constantly around Taylor and he gives Anna the creeps. Slowly, Anna and Taylor become best friends, as they have a lot in common-they’re both pregnant, their husbands both work out of town frequently, they both used to be airline cabin crew, and they’re both lonely and looking for friendship. Anna also shares a lot of her life online, especially Instagram, and Taylor is delighted when some of the hashtags Anna posts are about #newfriends! She clings to this, and it really hurts when Anna reschedules their plans, which is frequent.

Aside from the walking group, Taylor also joins a book club where she meets Caroline and Sarah. There are a lot of characters to keep up with but they are all well developed and it’s hard to pinpoint if one of them is the sadistic stalker that readers come across in some alternating chapters. If you’ve followed my blog for awhile now, it’s no secret I love to read thrillers! This one was especially relatable due to the contemporary time period where everyone puts everything online. I had an inkling of who the stalker would end up being but the final reveal was definitely not what I imagined! Make sure to pick this one up if you’re in the mood for a great twisty thriller!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own and this has not influenced my review.

Who’s stalking who . . . and why?

JUST OMG!! This book is full of twist and turns. It is a book you rush to finish. I did not see the crazy, nor had it figured out. Very clever! I say WOW, and more than 5 stars.

This is the first time I have read anything by this author and I was impressed by her book. Another book that had a twist ending that you thought you figured out but was completely wrong. I wouldn't say the book was different from others that I have read, but I enjoyed it very much, it kept my attention,.

A Riveting Thriller

Do you know your friends as well as you think you do? Before this novel is over you will be wondering and questioning how much of yourself you reveal on social media.

Taylor Watson, with her husband Jake, has just moved from California to the suburbs of London, Jake's original home. Alone in a new place Taylor discovers that it is not as exciting as she expected. She becomes lonely as Jake is often away on business. She sets out to make some friends and in attempting to do so she becomes a very active poster on social media. Soon pregnant, she joins a book club and a walking group. She becomes friends with Anna, Sarah, Caroline and Simon.

The main chapters written from Taylor's perspective are interspersed by other chapters offering comments from another person who is filled with bitterness and and appears to be seeking some form of revenge. As her pregnancy advances Taylor begins to suspect her friends are not exactly what they appear to be. One is always criticizing her, another may be interested in her husband and then there is Simon who is a bit of a social loner but may be interested in her.

Taylor is being stalked by someone who intends her great harm. The denouement ties everything together in a way that reveals the hidden secrets in a rush.

A well written thriller that is quite enjoyable. I received a digital copy of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley.

THIS BOOK HAD ME SHOOK. I was tossed and teased during this whole story, and then after a couple good twists, the ending gave me chills! This book reminded me of You, the Perfect Mother and Big Little Lies all wrapped into one, but it was a 5 star read the whole way through. The first quarter of the book I was thinking one thing, and then by the halfway point I was thinking another, and I was wrong both times! Love being fooled, and I highly recommend this book!

Wow!! I Know You by Annabell Kantaria has got to be one of the most exciting reads so far this year!
As a passive social media user, I found this story to be so jarring yet so relatable in the sense that I see people posting the most trivial and pedestrian of things on social media that it starts to turn into a habit and ultimately into an obsession. The need to overshare your personal and private moments with strangers or acquaintances is something I don't understand, personally. Therefore this book to me was so amazing! Though its fiction, it can't get more accurate than this, on the perils of social media.
This plus the compelling storyline made this very hard to put down. I highly recommend getting your hands on I Know You.

Thank You netgalley, the publishers and Annabell Kantaria for an arc

What an amazing thriller! Absolutely loved it; every roller coaster moment of it. This book was full of surprises, and there was no boring moment. I highly recommend it.

In today's public media society, what you post is key to how people see you. What you share let's others into your home indiscriminately. Annabel Kantaria took a thriller and added the sometimes eerie things that people post and follow to make it unique. How well do you know your friends? How well do they know you? In this story, a young pregnant woman must sort through these questions to find who she can trust before her world turns ugly. It will definitely make you think!

Wow! What a totally gripping and absolutely thriller! I flew through this one! Just goes to show you the true dark side to social media. You really never know who is watching you online and that is definitely shown through this book. Also it shows you the consequences of what that knowledge can do once its in the wrong hands! Its hard to look at social media the same way after reading this one...

A fantastic domestic thriller that once you start the first page it doesn’t let you go, Taylor who is pregnant after relocating joins a walking group to keep her busy while her husband works away and makes a bunch of quirky friends, however Taylor starts to realise they are not all what they seem and all have secrets to hide. Some secrets can be dangerous.

This is one of the best books I have read all year! It has all the elements of a good psychological mystery. I felt that the tension built at just the right place and there is a lot of misdirection. I have re read other reviews that complained about the ending, but in my opinion it wrapped everything up nicely. I would definitely recommend this book!

This book lays out why putting your daily life on social media can come back to bite you. People often don't think much about putting their daily events out there for anyone to read. And sometimes that person can be a stalker who do not have your best interests in mind. Such is the plot of this wonderful book. Be careful what you put out there, folks.
