I absolutely LOVE browsing through this catalog to see what is coming up in the months ahead! The excerpts are such a tease and I can't help but make a list of the upcoming books that I simply will not be able to live without!

I find so many new authors and familiar ones that have new books coming out in the future. I rely on this and other past ones that I've downloaded have been very helpful in choosing the books I want to read.

I was so happy to see Buzz Books Fall and Winter catalogue today. I look forward to seeing these to find out what new releases are coming our way, and especially the Fall/Winter one which has all the big releases of the year.

I always look forward to BuzzBooks. These free collections of excerpts and lists are a fantastic way to find books to read by old and new authors. There is always the fun of discovery within. As can be seen from the cover of this title, there is a lot on offer. Among the “and more” are some books that I am really looking forward to reading, including those by Natasha Lester, Patti Callahan and Richard Osman, among others.

I am a big fiction reader but this collection also includes some interesting non-fiction titles. There are some upcoming young adult book excerpts and suggestions as well.

This wonderful resource is free at most on-line bookstores. Get your copy!

Publishers Lunch is such a great resource, but I've never been able to a get a copy of buzz books before. Already dying to read the new Lauren Groff and Tiphanie Yanique books coming out, and there are many others in this overview that are new to me. Now, to find time to read them. Having devoured the last edition of Buzz Books I was thrilled to see that a new version was available. I was even more excited when I saw some of the excerpts included. Nowhere else can you find sneak peeks of upcoming releases from authors such as Mitch Albom, Noah Hawley and Lauren Groff. Featuring distinct sections for Fiction, Debut authors, Non-Fiction and Young Adult, there is truly something for everyone in this edition. Big bonus for NetGalley reviewers, you can request a copy from a link at the end of the excerpt without missing a beat! Anyone who loves to read should give this a try. As for me, I will be patiently waiting for the next edition of Buzz Books!

I loved this sampler of upcoming books. I now have several new titles on my “watch for” list, discovered two new authors I’m excited to read & recommend, and learned that a couple of my favorites have new books coming out - all good! And I could request titles from NetGalley right from a link at the end of each excerpt- super easy. I was surprised that not all the new books listed in the front were excerpted, but there are plenty of intriguing story starts here to please most every reader. These are a fantastic early insight into upcoming releases, and gives a great overview to popular authors, debut authors, and then within fiction and non fiction. I have screenshot all my most anticipated releases and cannot wait for them! Thanks Publishers Lunch for showing them to us!

I love this sampler because it always introduces me to at least one new unexpected author whose blurb, genre, or cover might ordinarily not have made me pick the book up. This time, two such highlights include the latest Thursday Murder Club book (whose cover made it look too cozy for my tastes, but I love the author’s voice), and a story of two Mafia daughters in Red Hook (I almost never read mob books, but this was such an engrossing character study). Also found several tantalizing new entries in my usual murder mystery/thriller genre including the new Kimberly McCreight novel and Dark Things I Adore (what a title!). Just finished this Buzz Books and already can’t wait for the next one. Thank you, NetGalley!

In a time where there are SO many great reads (and so little time to read them all) I use these guides to meticulously curate my TBR list for the upcoming reading season. This Buzz Book is the perfect way to preview books that are already on my list to read, and to discover new authors. The samples also are a great exposure to new voices, and also new topics and genres.

A great way to add to your TBR list!

I love getting these samplers of books releasing later in the year. I can tell 2021 fall/winter is going to have some amazing releases! The very first sample is of one of my favorite authors, Mitch Albom. Followed by a story that is inspired by one of my favorites of all time. So for me this sampler definitely started out strong. I love how it is divided into sections such as fiction, nonfiction, etcetera. I'm also always pleased when there is a Young Adult selection included. This section also included another favorite author of mine, Rick Riordan. I was very impressed and have so many new books to add to my wishlist! Thanks Netgalley.

It's always fun to dive into a chapter or two of books from unfamiliar authors or upcoming books from authors not necessarily in you're radar, especially it you've got "book hangover". This book is packed with fiction and non-fiction chapters from soon-to-be published books. I really enjoyed finding some new-to-me authors and books that slipped past my attention.

Although non fiction doesn’t interest me very much, the excerpts are interesting to browse.

I love reading each edition of Buzz Books. I always find many (usually too many!) titles to add to my TBR list, and the samples of upcoming publications definitely whets my appetite to read some of the books that will soon be published. These sneak peeks are great. (In this edition, I especially enjoyed the sneak peeks of The Saints of Swallow Hill, Small Things Like These, and Friends Like These, and each of these book is now on my TBR list.) Buzz Books is simply a fantastic resource for upcoming publications, and I look forward to each season's new edition.

This book is a sampler of forthcoming novels, and as such was quite a treat to read through. There are some excellent extracts within, although of course not all of them will be for everyone. If you want a sneak peak of some new book, pick up a copy now. Looking forward to reading Richard Osman’s next book.

I enjoy how this book gives an overview of upcoming books and how the sections are broke down in order to find specific genres. Looking forward to reading some of the books reviewed in this book.

This publication has become a personal semi-annual gift. It provides an opportunity for me to sample works from both veteran and debut authors and enables me to list titles to search for in the upcoming months. I have already received my first request! Fall and winter choices are looking good.

Once again, I just love these Buzz Books (although going through these collections of reading samples definitely do not help my ever-growing TBR pile to stay in a manageable size).

I am very excited for Rick Riordan's new work, which was also featured here so I am utterly happy not to have to wait until Fall for a first introduction to Daughter of the Deep. And all of the upcoming Young Adult books look like they would by exactly my cup of tea so I'll have to keep an eye on sales for those!

These collections with excerpts from forthcoming books are excellent. As a fan of historical fiction, I'm especially looking forward to the novels by Natasha Lester, Lauren Groff, Lorena Hughes, and Patti Callahan. As a librarian, I have a head start on books that readers will be wanting to get their hands on. I also definitely appreciate having the books' publicity contacts included.

I always look forward to the biannual Buzz Books editions for the coming seasons. They provide a comprehensive summary of books being published in the subsequent months. They help me add to my “To Read” list and give me something to anticipate in advance.

Buzz feedback is an invaluable tool I use to decide whether or not to purchase a book for our library as well as a great way to acquaint myself with new authors.

This is a very exciting preview of the great books that are coming out. I perused the young adult selection and I'm very excited for all of them, especially Rick Riordan's new, non-mythology book, as a long time Riordan fan. I'm also very excited for Ayana Gray's Beasts of Prey, which I hadn't heard of before, but now I'm intrigued.

I always look forward to the Buzz Books anthology. It is a comprehensive guide to new fiction and organized so that reader's can easily find books in their wheelhouse. Sectioned according to genre with special designation for new and emerging authors, I always find a host of books to enjoy. Besides having excerpts from slect titles, another advantage of Buzz Books is direct links and sometimes widgets to highlighted works. The only downside is that your TBR is sure to explode.

ILooking forward to when Jonas's Vladimir and Jessup White's Reclamation: Sally Hemings, Thomas Jefferson, and a Descendant's Search for Her Family's Legacy are available for request.

I love Buzz books overviews of upcoming publications, because they allow me to plan my reading for the next half year.
I have already discovered that 6 of my favourite authors are releasing exciting new books and I have written down 7 more titles to keep an eye out for from authors I didn't previously know. One book I was on the fence about after reading a few NetGalley reviews, but decided to give it a try after reading the extract included in this buzz books edition. As usual, this buzz books edition has been very helpful.

I always love these previews for a heads up on new releases. I like getting a little preview of books to help decide whether I might be interested. I appreciate how the titles are broken down by genre. This one edition is just like ones I've seen in the past. They're very useful and well composed.

This sampler was an excellent, quick way to identify upcoming titles that fit my tastes. It took less than an hour to peruse the opening chapters and short summary blurb of several dozen upcoming releases and zero in on a couple to request for read/review. It had me checking out new authors and broadening the scope of my reading interests.

I really enjoy the "Buzz Books" when they come out because they allow you to get a glimpse of different writers and their styles, like a taste test at a sweet shop. I typically find a new author that I would not have picked up before but because I was able to get a preview I am able to give them a chance. I think my favorite selection from this volume was Gayle Jessup White about her family history, not something I would have ever thought I would enjoy but it was really interesting to get to peak at history in such a personal way.

Always enjoy reading about upcoming books! Especially enjoy the section on Debut Authors as I am always looking for new authors to read and love to support new talent just getting started! Thank you for providing a digital copy for review

As a book reviewer, I absolutely love when Publishers Lunch puts of these seasonal books because you get to see some of the new books that are coming out in that season. Plus you get to read snippets from the books. During the pandemic, I haven't been to any bookstores so getting to read snippets of books online is limited so being able to read this has made a huge impact on my book buying. Great new releases plus quite a few hidden gems I didn't know about. Excited to pick up and read many of these books.

I always love the Buzz Books collections. Even though I scan publishers' catalogs every week and am diligent about maintaining a list of books to request, this collection had several I would have otherwise missed out on.

I absolutely adore these Buzz Books reviews! It's so wonderful to see what's coming and get a little taste of the books. I'd noticed a lot of booksellers are also offering the first chapter of books for free now, and it's a wonderful way to offer that same ability you get inside a bookstore when you grab a book off the shelf and find a cozy spot.

This is a fun, great way to preview books - a chapter or so of each anticipated book is shared - the range is lovely and diverse - something for everyone. While I didn’t end up going past a couple of paras of a few of the samples based on my reading preference, I appreciated the opportunity to sample. There were some good ones and debut authors as well - always great to see new writers being published. XXX in particular I’m eager to check out are - The Spanish Daughter by Lorena Hughes, The Teller of Secrets by Bisi Adjapon, Olga Dies Dreaming by Xochitl Gonzalez, Beasts of a Little Land by Juhea Kim, and Smile: The Story of a Face by Sarah Ruhl. Was particularly interested in the excerpt of Lauren Groff's Matrix, which left me eager for the full novel. It feels like another change of gears of her, while still retaining her signature sensory storytelling.

This is the first time I've downloaded the Buzz Books Catalog and I'm so glad I did. With in-person book conferences still not happening, this is such a great way to get a comprehensive list of upcoming titles I might be interested in and boy, did I end up finding quite a few to add to my tbr! I love these Buzz Book compilations, and this one made my TBR explode. So many wonderful books coming out this fall. I highly recommend reading through the samples of each, as there are some premises that I felt less draw to, but the writing drew me right in.

This is my second time reviewing this style of publication and I really enjoy it. Every time I get to meet with new authors or even famous figures (like athletes I like) that are publishing their first book. I cannot tell you how good it is to have an opportunity to read a chapter or two ahead of time so you know which book you might be interested in reading.

This is truly a treasure trove for book lovers such as myself looking ahead at the best books coming for next session.  I loved how the list is broken down by genre and I can easily search for my favorite authors.  I'll be sure to look for other Buzz Book catalogs in the future to create my TBRs.

If you love books and I do, this is like getting a gift wrapped in a big bow. I may have a couple hundred books I already want to read, but when Buzz Books arrives I get so excited to see the new up and coming books!

I like the layout of Buzz Books and the best is the selection of new books that I can view and read a sample of. I think Buzz Books by far is the best way to find out about the latest books coming out in the next few months. It is so much easier then clicking on so many different websites to try and view new books. It also is comprehensive. I like that there is a long Non-Fiction and Biography/Memoir Section.

So, thank you so much for sending this to me. I already picked out at least a dozen books that look great for the Fall and Winter. This will make for Happy Reading!

Must read excerpts for me from Lauren Groff, Noah Harley,Kimberly McCreight and Richard Osman.
There is a great list of expected releases which includes too many repeat authors for me, in addition to the above : Anthony Doerr, Jonathan Franzen, David Gutterson,Sally Rooney,Elizabeth Strout,Miriam Toews, Colton Whitehead, Jon Mc Gregor, Amor Towles, Nelson DeMille, Paula Hawkins, Anthony Horowitz, Jo Nesbo, Sarah Winman and Liane Moriarity. I am also intrigued by debut by Louise Nealon.

Great to see this preview of the fall books! I'm especially hoping to read the new Lauren Goff novel. She is one of my favorite authors.

This is a lifesaver book. At the beginning of the year, I was so confused of where to start. There are so many books that are being published all the time. So having this book is actually amazing where I can get all the books that would create a buzz in this winter and fall.

I love being able to read excerpts of upcoming books before requesting them! I try not to go overboard in my requesting, so reading an excerpt in advance helps me decide which ones I should actually request.. I usually find some gems in these, and I find myself widening my scope of genres: win-win!

Excellent summary of fall winter books. I appreciate the summaries before the excerpt very much. I wish the pub dates were listed near the top of each listing. But I did discover some books I'm interested in reading, including Matrix, Small Things Like These, Perpetual West, The Book of Form and Emptiness, Monster in the Middle, and Olga Dies Dreaming. I'd only heard about one of these books (Matrix) before reading Buzz Books 2021: Fall/Winter.

Buzz Books 2021 is a compilation of new books coming out this Fall and Winter. It has a wonderful list of books from fiction to non-fiction and is broken down by categories such as: adult fiction, YA Fiction and Debut authors. For each book, this catalog provides a summary of the book as well as a sample from each, along with all the details you need to know about the book such as publisher and release date. This is my go-to book each year to find out what new books are on the horizon and which ones I absolutely need to add to my TBR. It also allows me to pre-order the ones I really want in order to support the authors. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in upcoming books as it is comprehensive and informative. Love reading these catalogs and look forward to the next season's offering.

This is such a remarkable resource to keep you posted on great upcoming books! I also have found books I normally never would have ever ever thought to try except I gave them a shot because they were in this book and were given such rave reviews! I would recommend anyone wanting to look out of there normal comfort zone for some wonderful reads this is a valuable resource tool and I have used them twice!

This is an excerpt from an excerpt of "Never Saw Me Coming" by debut author Vera Kurian. It looks chilling and fascinating. The narrator is one of seven people chosen to attend a university as a subject in a psychopathy study. She knows there are six others but not who they are.

She carefully chooses her dorm room as a small one facing a brick wall so she can sneak out. The chapter ends with her planning an ‘activity’ for a day when riots and protests are forecast, so the police will be too busy to follow up other crimes.

“It was the perfect day to kill Will Bachman.”

There are countless new books listed in the beginning of this edition, and I mean countless. Pages of authors and titles. Only some are chosen from which to include chapters, usually the opening of the book, I think. The categories are adult fiction, debut fiction, non-fiction, and young adult books.

I have already read and reviewed Claire Keegan's "Small Things Like These" and "The Man Who Died Twice" by Richard Osman, but you can read a whole chapter of each here to try them out yourself. A few others of the many included are Mitch Albom, Bernhard Schlink, Tea Cooper, Lauren Groff, and more.

I will mention a few I liked, one of which is "Anthem" by Noah Hawley, who wrote Before the Fall and has a long list of credits on his Goodreads bio.

“PS29, Brooklyn. The hushed reverence of boredom commonly known as a children’s recital. 6 p.m. on a Thursday. The elementary school auditorium is like a chapel, a non-denominational holy space where adults congregate to worship the promise of their young. Piano, piano, dance troupe, Mozart violin screech, inappropriately suggestive pop ballad, ginger magician. It’s April 2009 and the stock market is spiraling.”

When one little girl pipes up singing the US national anthem, they are all caught by surprise and have to stand up (as you do), just as some of them have finally sat down to rest their legs. We already know there's a lot of conflict going on - looks good.

Then there are a couple of debut novels I’d like to read. The first is "Olga Dies Dreaming" by Xóchitl González. The protagonist is a wedding planner who is improving her lot in life by working for extremely wealthy families. She is extremely careful. She has to be.

“(The wedding of a rich person also had, at least for the workers involved, the looming possibility of litigation hovering in the near future. Not-rich people’s events had forgettable glitches. Gaffes to the ultra-wealthy were unforgivable grievances that only the courts could remedy.)”

Her most trusted manager is Jan. He’s got everything she needs. But he hasn’t turned up and she’s furious.

“Jan, the best floor captain for one of the finest caterers in the city, was on her frequent rotation. He was, in many respects, her emotional security blanket for her toughest jobs. His elegant appearance, soothing demeanor, and unplaceable European accent pleased her clients in the front of the house. His first-generation American work ethic coupled with a robust supply of dirty Polish jokes pleased her team in the back of the house.”

She explodes, calls, threatens and is shut up only when the owner of the catering company tells her through sobs:

“Jan isn’t coming to work because Jan is dead.”

Yep – I think that looks like a promising debut too.

Another debut I think I like the sound of is "Out of Love" by Hazel Hayes. A young couple are breaking up after five years together, or more accurately, he is leaving her. This scene is a couple of months later, when he’s returned to pick up a few more things. The first chapter, at least, is told by her.

“He asked if we could have a break but what he meant was a breakup. He moved most of his stuff out of our apartment while I was home in Dublin, crying on my mother’s sofa. He stopped loving me a long time ago but wasn’t brave enough to tell me. And so our relationship kept trundling forward like a wagon down a dirt road, with me tied to the back like a rag doll. I imagine myself bouncing about in the dust, with a stitched-on smile and vacant eyes, just happy the rope is holding. The image is so morbidly funny that I have to conceal a grin.”

From here, the story winds its way back to the beginning, a format that did not sit well with some reviewers. I, however, enjoyed "Us" by David Nicholls, which works in a similar way and which managed to be poignant and heartfelt without being depressing. But neither partner had someone else waiting. This guy apparently does. This may not be for someone raw from a breakup.

Another debut is "The Family" by Naomi Krupitsky, about a couple of girls who’ve been best friends since they were born. Their parents live next door to each other and their fathers work together . . . for the Mafia. They aren’t aware of their special ‘connections’ but others obviously are. “Book One” is 1928-1935. Their mothers are pregnant together, and thus begins their story.

Each book is introduced with a description, some of which are very long, so you have a pretty good idea of what you're in for.

An interesting read to see the most popular books coming out in the fall and winter of 2021. The Buzz Books editions are an excellent resource for librarians when it comes to ordering books for libraries. The book helps navigate through the numerous titles being released and identifies those that are anticipated to be the most popular.

These books are dangerous for me. I always end up adding way too many books to my TBR list and requesting books I don’t have time to read. This compilation of books releasing in Fall/Winter 2021 is divided into four groups: fiction, debut, non-fiction, and young adult. Drawn from multiple publishers, the entries include the cover, synopsis, excerpt, author bio, and marketing plans. The collection of books included highlights the publishing world’s attempts to improve diversity, which is very welcome. There are lots of good books coming out this season. #netgalley
